Concord Quarterly Meeting is seeking to hire an independent contractor to provide bookkeeping services to assist its Treasurer. To be considered for this position, an applicant must be well versed in using QuickBooks® accounting software. Concord Quarterly Meeting is a non-profit religious organization that is exempt from taxation. It keeps its books on a cash basis, has one employee, and revenues and expenses of less than $50,000 per year. It owns no real or personal property, but it has investments held by Friends Fiduciary Corporation. The bookkeeping services to be provided include posting the Meeting’s income and expenses and changes in the value of its investments, preparing bank deposits and checks, and using the Meeting’s accounting software to prepare quarterly statements of income and expenses and quarterly balance sheets. The Meeting’s current Treasurer estimates that annually it will take approximately 50 hours for a bookkeeper to provide such services. Compensation will be $25 per hour.
